2014 Devon's Rose
Saignee: a method of rose production that involves saignee (French for bleeding) juice after limited contact with the skins. Pronounced -sonyay-. This Rose is a beautiful clear pink wine. Opening with pink grapefruit, strawberry and a hint of caramel on the nose. It is bright, well rounded with pineapple, strawberry and layers of melon. This is a light and refreshing wine with a great mouth feel and a lingering finish of peach and melon. Pair with a sunny day on the deck, shellfish, salmon with lemon butter, creamy cheese or a mild hard cheese.
