Released December 2013
BSH '10 is dark, brooding and powerfully structured. There is mouth-filling concentration and an array of flavors delivering a long-distance palate that is quite a bit more than satisfying. Eye-catching, deep garnet-purple hue, aromas of marionberry, roast meat, graphite and spice set the stage for this enormously sensual wine. The precise balance of fruit, tannins and acidity yield a dynamic texture that is softly well-rounded and muscular at the same time. The flavors range from espresso to black currants and blackberries to floral and huckleberry notes. Beef is the obvious match (Wellington, Carpaccio, and Tournedos Rossini) but halibut or sturgeon are both brilliant not to mention lamb shanks.
