Gorgeous, dense, purple-red, classic Sheridan Vineyard aromas and flavors: loganberry and cassis notes on the nose wrapped in a subtle veil of cabin smoke. The familiar silky Sheridan texture shows a more muscular side here reflecting this quality of the '05 vintage in general. The flavors are balanced between the wonderful dark fruit: black cherry, plum, cassis and the meaty and tasty and leather notes. This is destined for a very long life in the cellar (20 to 30 years) for anyone with patience.
