Mike Allen of Elliott Bay Distibuting, Mauro Golmarvi of Assaggio, a premium Seattle Italian restaurant, with Rob Sullivan and Bill Owen of O·S Winery

"Rob, Bill, Ross and Mike recently visited me at my restaurant, Assaggio. I decided to join them for lunch. I was pleasantly surprised when I notice they had a bottle of the OS R3, 2005 in tow. I immediately know what I was ordering for lunch, my lamb shank! This great blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Cabernet Franc does not disappoint. It paired perfectly with my lamb shank; particularly with the peppery and violet notes that popped from the Cabernet Franc. The flavors really exploded and melded seamlessly with the robust, saucy richness from my lamb shank. Try it sometime!"

Greg Beach, Proprietor of the Valley Cafe, Ellensburg with O·S winemaker, Owen, at the Valley Cafe Winery of the Month tasting, December, 2011

"They are great wines and they have established themselves as being the best winemakers in the state of Washington over time. That to me is a sign of one of the best wineries year after year."

2006 M

M 2006 has a fragrant aroma of crushed roses and blackberries with a whiff of espresso. Full and round on the palate it has a rich flavor profile of black currents, Bing cherries and coffee. The satiny texture upfront gives way to rich tannins that carry the flavors to an extended and flavorful finish.

2007 RED

Quite full-bodied and very soft on the palate this blend is bursting with subtle fruit flavors: cassis, pomegranate, blueberry and red cherry. There's a nice touch of cinnamon and cocoa as well. The finish is remarkably dry with excellent grip.

2005 R3

R3, Catherine Deneuve-that's all you need to know. Beyond that however there is the dark, elusive side of the '05 vintage; the aroma of black cherries and clove with hints of roses. Richness and concentration are balanced with soft, supple tannins and acidity. The flavors of cassis, dark chocolate and ripe blackberry are generous but still subtle. This is a graceful wine from its plush, mouth-filling start to its deliciously lingering finish.

2006 BSH

Classic Cabernet aromas of black cherry, cedar, spice, and leather with a hint of earthiness compliment. The richly textured, powerfully structured palate which features an array of reserved fruit flavors: black cherry, currants and cassis with a subtle touch of cocoa and tobacco. The finish is a sunset burst of nuanced tones of espresso, cassis and anis. Built for long cellaring but tasting very nice now.
